Here’s some of the frequently asked questions at Mr Jonathan Webb’s knee surgery clinics:
Where do you consult and operate?
I consult and operate in Bristol and London. In Bristol, my practice is based at the Nuffield Chesterfield Hospital where I have outpatient clinics and perform surgery. In London, my outpatient clinics are at the Fortius Clinic – we have two outpatient and diagnostic clinics, one based in central London and the other in the City. I perform surgery at the Bupa Cromwell Hospital.
How much do you charge for an appointment?
For self-funded consultations, I charge £350 for an initial consultation and £200 for a follow-up consultation.
Do I need private medical insurance?
You do not need to have private medical insurance as you can pay for your own treatment.
Are you covered by all insurance companies?
I am recognised by all of the major insurance companies. However, all insurance policies are different and we recommend that you check with your insurance company regarding the treatment you would like to be covered for.
Are your fees fully covered?
My fees have remained the same for a number of years. However, in most cases, the insurance companies have reduced the amount they will cover. Please check with your insurance company before proceeding with any treatment.
Do I need a GP referral?
If you are paying for your treatment yourself you do not need a GP referral. However, most insurance companies will require you to have a GP referral before authorising any treatment.
Do you see children?
Yes, I can see children over the age of 3.
